„Since I entered my craft at 22 as Iphofen's youngest winery owner, my philosophy has been: No off-the-shelf wines, no mainstream, no technically produced wines – but craftsmanship, hard work, strength, and perseverance. The natural cultivation of my 40,000 vines is important to me. I am the boss in the cellar, in the vineyard, and since 2020, also of the bistro and wine bar in downtown Iphofen. I put my personal signature on all my wines – honest, straightforward, and without much fuss. I love all my 25 vineyards, but on „my“ Kalb, by my planted walnut tree, I best clear my head for new ideas. Denmark is also important to me: my „second“ love, because the landscape and the people there are so different from us Germans – no stress and no appointments – it's no coincidence that Danes are considered the happiest people in Europe.„
